Windows
Updates, downloads, news and your account now come from crackmac.net.
CrackMac moved to crackmac.net. Launchers older than 1.21.1 can no longer find updates; install this version once by hand.Launcher updates now install by themselves. Before, a downloaded update waited for Restart and install in About, and because the Launcher stays in the tray it usually waited forever.
From this version on, a waiting update installs while the Launcher is in the tray and nothing else is going on (no downloads, installs or backups), or when you quit it. The Launcher then comes back in the tray by itself. If an update cannot install, the Launcher comes back on the version you had and tells you in the Inbox. Restart and install in About can try again.
The tray menu and Windows now tell you when a Launcher update is ready, and open About.
To get this version from 1.20 or older, open About and choose Restart and install once. Updates after this one install by themselves.
Inbox: one feed of everything your CrackMac apps and devices told you: camera alerts and new devices from CrackWatch, finished downloads and Launcher updates.
A count shows on Inbox in the sidebar; opening it marks them read.Show new notices on my TV (off until you switch it on): a quiet card on CrackTV for a few seconds, without pausing what is on.
Phone link (Devices, off until you switch it on): your phone shows the Inbox and this PC's health in CrackMac Companion.
Pair with the same six digits on both screens. Read only, on your home Wi-Fi, encrypted. The first time, Windows asks once for permission.Notices stay on this PC and your home network. Other CrackMac apps leave them in a local folder that only the Launcher reads.
CrackCover, the CD and DVD cover designer, in the library with its own icon, colours, screenshots and full feature list.
Home shows every CrackMac app, newest releases first, so CrackWatch, CrackNote and the Companion appear there too.
A "New" mark for apps whose first release is under three weeks old, "Updated" for apps with a release in the last week.Launcher updates in Downloads and its history show the current Launcher icon and the name "Launcher update" instead of an old icon and "launcher-update".
Your devices' health shows as weather on the Living Island: calm when all is well, clouds when a device is busy, a storm when it needs a look, fog when its Wi-Fi is weak.
This PC over the Launcher's building, your paired TV and wall panel over theirs. The caption under the island says what the weather means. The Living Island on Home no longer runs past the edge of its panel when the window is narrow.
"Open in Launcher" links always open your installed Launcher, never a test copy of a new version that was checked on the same PC.
Product pages list everything the product can do, grouped, with the release that added each feature.
Features from the newest release are marked New. Works offline with the last copy it saw.Patch notes in the sidebar: every release of every CrackMac product, with what was added, improved, fixed, changed or removed.
Filter by product. Works offline with the last copy it saw. Each product page shows its latest patch notes under its features.
Passes CrackWatch motion alerts to your paired TV.
Only when you switch it on in CrackWatch. Each alert goes once; alerts older than two minutes are never sent.Closing the window keeps the Launcher running in the system tray.
It checks for updates every few hours and tells you. Right-click the tray icon to open or quit. You can switch this off in Settings.Starts quietly in the tray when Windows starts (if you chose to start with Windows).
Passes CrackNote's day to your paired TV and wall panel.
Only task titles and times, never your notes, and only when you switch it on in CrackNote. The Devices page knows the wall panel: pairing steps for the panel and a card that only shows the day.
Phone apps are labelled "Android APK" instead of "Android TV APK".
CrackWatch and CrackNote in the library, with their own marks and screenshots.
CrackHome, CrackTV and the Companion are listed as "Available" instead of test builds.
The discontinued projects CMF: REDACTED, Foundation: Investigation and Foundation: Terminal.
A smaller download (about 11 MB less) now that the retired projects' artwork is gone.
CrackPulse on Home: "Your devices" shows this PC and your paired TV and panel with their health.
Memory, Wi-Fi and whether everything is reachable. For the TV you can run Boost or a speed test from the PC.Plain status words, a simpler bottom bar, no identity codes on cards and a clock without seconds.
"Signal" is now called News.
CrackKeep: encrypted backups of your CrackMac settings and data in one file.
Locked with a passphrase you choose. Restore checks everything in a temporary folder first, so a bad backup changes nothing.Restore rehearsal: proves a backup can be restored without touching anything.
The CrackMac island on Home, with a building for every product.
New releases arrive by boat; recent ones carry a warm beacon.Minimize, maximize/restore and close buttons at every window size, and F11 for full screen.
Devices page: find CrackTV on your home network and pair once with a six-digit code.
Then send it a message, a link (it opens on the TV after someone presses Open) or a file, including apps. Everything is encrypted and stays inside your home. Each product card shows its CrackMac identity and the right way to install it, straight from the catalog.
About › Save a diagnostic report: a short health check you can send when something is wrong.
It never contains your user name, computer name, email or sign-in codes.Home shows the three latest CrackMac news items, also when offline.
The Launcher updates itself, but only when the update notice is signed by CrackMac.
A notice that is not signed, or signed by anyone else, is ignored and you are offered the manual download instead."Open in the Launcher" on crackmac.net product pages jumps straight to that product.
Links can only open a screen; they can never download, install or sign in.Earlier1.0 to 1.6.2 (August–September 2026): the library, downloads with checks, installed apps, your CrackMac account and the stable and preview update channels.
Windows
Motion alerts and new-device alerts also go to your CrackMac Inbox: in the Launcher, on your paired phone, and on your TV if you switch that on in the Launcher.
The Network page names the maker of devices that do not announce themselves, such as "TP-Link device".
From the official IEEE list of network card makers, built into CrackWatch, so it works offline.A device whose maker almost only builds one kind of thing (smart plugs, speakers, printers, cameras, network storage) gets that kind.
Nothing is looked up online. Phones with a private Wi-Fi address stay anonymous: their maker cannot be told from the address.
Phone viewing: see your cameras live, the camera list and your motion alerts with their photos on your phone, in CrackMac Companion.
Off until you switch it on in Settings › Phone viewing. View only: the phone cannot change anything.Pair a phone like a TV: both screens show the same six digits.
The first time, Windows asks once for permission so your phone can reach this PC.While a phone is watching, the title bar shows PHONE and Settings says which phone is watching which camera.
Only on your home Wi-Fi and encrypted. Camera addresses and passwords never leave the PC; switching phone viewing off or forgetting a phone cuts it off at once.
CrackWatch keeps running in the tray while phone viewing is on, so your phone can still connect with the window closed.
Network page: every device on your home network with a name, its kind, address, and when it was first and last seen.
Names come from what devices announce themselves on your network: TVs, printers, routers and computers usually say who they are; phones often do not.Trust and rename devices; devices you have not trusted yet stand out.
Tell me when a new device joins: scans every 10 minutes, also from the tray, with a notification for a device it has never seen.
Off until you switch it on. The first scan never sends alerts.Checkup: your Wi-Fi security, risky open doors on the router, UPnP, and camera hygiene, each explained with what to do.
Tools: ping, port check and wake a sleeping computer (wake-on-LAN).
Everything stays on this PC and your own network; the port check only accepts home addresses.
CrackWatch carries its own slim video engine, so the download is about a third smaller (160 MB to 102 MB).
The engine went from 242 MB to under 10 MB by leaving out everything CrackWatch never uses. Live view, snapshots, clips, motion alerts and previews work as before. The video engine (FFmpeg) is now under the LGPL licence instead of the GPL; its licence and build details are in the app folder.
Show alerts on my TV (Settings › Motion alerts).
A small card with the photo, the camera and the time pops up on CrackTV for a few seconds, on top of what is playing, without pausing it. Off until you switch it on.Motion alerts per camera (Cameras › Edit).
Choose Low, Normal or High sensitivity. A live bar shows how much is moving right now.Areas to ignore: tap squares on the picture, such as a road, a tree or a TV.
When something moves: a Windows notification with a photo, a clip recorded straight away, and the alert on the new Alerts page.
At most one alert per camera per minute. A light switching on does not count as motion.Keeps watching from the tray after you close the window; pause alerts for an hour from the tray icon.
Start with Windows (optional), quietly in the tray.
Clips show a preview picture on the Snapshots page; motion photos are kept in a Motion folder.
Motion checking shares one light connection per camera, so cameras that allow few connections keep working.
The example address in the camera form is a general one.
Focus keeps the big camera in view however many cameras you have.
Live wall of 1, 4 or 9 cameras, Focus (one big, the rest beside it) and full screen.
Find cameras on your network, or add one by hand (Tapo, Reolink, Hikvision, Dahua, Amcrest or any RTSP camera).
Test connection shows a picture, or a plain reason it failed, before you save.
Snapshots in full quality and clips of 10 seconds to 2 minutes, saved on your PC.
Camera passwords are locked with Windows' own protection and kept out of every log. Nothing goes to the internet.
Windows and Android
Sync and updates now go through account.crackmac.net, on Windows and Android.
CrackMac moved to crackmac.net. Your notes are untouched. On your TV and wall panel (Settings, Windows): today's tasks on CrackTV's Home and the CrackHome resting screen.
Only titles and times, never your notes, passed on by the CrackMac Launcher. Off until you switch it on; cleared at midnight.Morning brief: the day in one look, overdue first, the next timed task, your pinned checklist and a gentle nudge.
On Windows it fills the right-hand pane when nothing is selected; on Android it sits at the top of Today. A notification each morning at the time you choose.Focus mode: one task full screen with a 15, 25 or 50 minute ring timer and its steps.
Press F on Windows, or Focus in the task on Android. Done offers the next task.CrackNote for Android: quick capture, Share to CrackNote, a Today widget, a quick-settings tile, reminders and in-app updates.
Sync between your devices through your CrackMac account.
Edits merge field by field, so a title changed on the phone and a date changed on the PC both survive.Sync is end-to-end encrypted with a passphrase only you know; the account stores sealed records it cannot read.
Quick capture from any program (Ctrl + Shift + Space) that understands dates, times, repeats, priority, #tags and +projects.
Inbox, Today with Overdue, Upcoming, Someday, Notes, Done and Bin; projects, tags, steps and reminders.
Markdown notes with tickable checklists and links between notes.
Safe saving: one data file, a backup copy and daily backups kept for 14 days.
Windows
Tracklist from a music folder: choose a folder and CrackCover reads the titles, artists, track and disc numbers and playing times from MP3, FLAC, M4A, Ogg, Opus and WAV files, in the right order.
You see a preview first and can still edit the text. Missing tags come from the file and folder names (such as "CD 2"). Long lists can run in two or three columns.Cover styles: Night studio, Gallery, Neon, Mono poster, Sunset retro and Mixtape restyle the whole case in one click. Your title, tracklist, photo and own layers stay; Ctrl+Z undoes it.
Picture of the case: save the front, back, spine and disc as one PNG or JPEG, on a dark, light or see-through background, up to 6000 pixels wide.
New cases: Blu-ray case (269 × 148 mm wrap with a 12 mm spine) and a CD paper sleeve that prints with its outline to cut along and dashes to fold on.
Your music files are only read, never changed or moved.
Covers for CD jewel cases (front, back tray card with both spines, disc label), CD with a 4-page booklet, CD slim cases and DVD cases.
Standard sizes in millimetres: jewel front 120 × 120, tray card 151 × 118 with 6.5 mm spines, DVD wrap 273 × 183 with a 14 mm spine, disc label 117 mm.Quick cover: a photo, a title, an artist line and a tracklist become a first design for every part of the case.
Design with text, pictures and shapes that snap to the cut line, folds, safe zones and centres; spine text turns the right way and shrinks to fit; undo and redo.
Your own fonts and every installed font; pictures and fonts are kept inside the project, so it opens on another PC.
A live 3D case next to the design: turn it, open the lid and see the disc.
Printing at exactly 100 % on A4, US Letter or A3 with cut and fold marks, parts placed for you; the booklet inside prints on the back at the matching spot.
Or save a print-ready PDF for a print shop.Printer check: print one page, measure two rulers and a corner, and CrackCover corrects that printer from then on.
Windows wall panel
The panel now looks for updates at crackmac.net.
CrackMac moved to crackmac.net. Panels on 2.7.0 or older need this version installed once by hand; after that, updates arrive by themselves again. The resting screen can show today's tasks from CrackNote, opposite the clock.
Your PC can pair with the panel (Service Center › Phones) to pass on the day.
A PC can only send the day and read the panel's health. It can never control the house.Paired phones and PCs can see the panel's health: whether it reaches Home Assistant, and its memory.
Nothing can be controlled through this; the panel only reports. When the hub moves to a new network address, the panel finds it again on its own.
It only moves to a hub that accepts the panel's own key, so it never connects to someone else's Home Assistant.Update downloads that drop halfway retry by themselves.
The panel kept going offline although the hub was fine.
A quiet house sent nothing, so a dropped connection went unnoticed. The panel now checks the line every 15 seconds and reconnects.Retry now really reconnects, straight away.
Reconnects after the panel wakes from sleep.
When nobody is around, the panel shows the CrackMac island with the clock, the date and how many lights are on.
One window lights up on the island for every light that is on. Switch it off under Appearance.Pair CrackMac Companion phones (Service Center › Phones), behind the service PIN and a six-digit code.
Phones can switch lights, plugs and fans, set heating, control speakers and run scenes.Locks, the alarm, covers and cameras are never sent to a phone and stay on the wall.
Hourly weather on the daily screen: conditions, temperature, humidity and chance of rain.
Settings › Room › Daily lower surface switches between Weather and Moments.Signed automatic updates: the panel updates itself, but only from an update notice signed by CrackMac.
Service › Room › Add new device: pairing, naming, choosing a room and placing it on the wall, step by step.
Three wall themes: Stone Linen, Smoked Bronze and Moss & Oak.
TV volume steps from the wall.
The voice assistant (Nika) starts more reliably and stops when you cancel.
Wall Neon look and the new CrackHome mark.
The panel can update itself from signed update notices, with a recovery installer if something goes wrong.
The panel's version and update status are reported correctly after a manual install.
Earlier1.0 to 1.1 (July–August 2026): the touch wall panel for Home Assistant: rooms, scenes, climate, the Service Center with its PIN, the boot sequence, night themes and the voice assistant Nika.

CrackMac moved to crackmac.net. Install this version once from your library; the TV then updates through your account as before.CrackMac Inbox notices from your PC's Launcher appear as a quiet card for a few seconds, on top of what is playing, without pausing it.
Only when you switch it on in the Launcher (Inbox, Show new notices on my TV).From the Studios lists CrackCover, the new CD and DVD cover designer.
CrackWatch camera alerts as a small card top right: the photo, the camera and the time, for about 12 seconds.
On top of whatever is playing when the Boost helper is on, without taking focus or pausing anything; otherwise while CrackTV is on screen. The photo is never stored.A Today card on Home with your CrackNote tasks, passed on by the CrackMac Launcher.
Only titles and times, never notes; it clears itself at midnight.Your PC and phone can see the TV's memory and Wi-Fi, and run Boost or a speed test on it.
Boost from another device only runs while CrackTV is on screen, so it never interrupts a film.Shows its version on your account page, with a note when an update is waiting.
Engine Room: memory, running apps, one-press Boost, per-app stop and protection, tune-ups and cache cleaning.
Network Lab: Wi-Fi details, a speed test with a grade, a step-by-step checkup and live signal.
